Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Freebo (the “Bot”, “we”, “our”). By inviting the Bot to a Discord server, using any of its commands, or otherwise interacting with it, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord’s Terms and age requirements. Discord generally requires users to be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required by the laws of their country.

If you are using the Bot on behalf of a server or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that server/organization.

3. Using the Bot

You agree to use the Bot responsibly and only for lawful purposes. You must not (and must not attempt to):

• Use the Bot to violate Discord’s Terms, policies, or Community Guidelines
• Use the Bot for harassment, hate, threats, or abusive behavior
• Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, disrupt, or overload the Bot or its infrastructure
• Use the Bot to distribute malware, phishing content, or other harmful content
• Use the Bot in a way that infringes others’ rights (including intellectual property rights)

4. Server Administrators

If you are a server owner/admin and add the Bot to your server, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to enable Bot features in your server
• Configuring the Bot appropriately (permissions, channels, moderation settings, etc.)
• Complying with applicable laws and Discord policies in your server

5. Privacy

The Bot may process certain data (e.g., Discord user/server identifiers and command-related content) to provide functionality. Details are explained in our Privacy Policy: privacy.html.

Discord’s own processing is governed by Discord’s Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the Bot available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The Bot may be changed, updated, limited, or discontinued at any time (for example, due to maintenance, security, or platform changes).

7. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Bot, including its code, branding, and content, except where otherwise stated. Discord and Discord trademarks belong to Discord and their respective owners.

8. Disclaimer

The Bot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the Bot at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Bot.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Bot at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, Discord policies, or if your use poses security or abuse risks.

You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server(s).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Bot after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Bot shall be resolved in the competent courts of Finland (typically the District Court of Pori), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
